The Black Girls Film Camp (BGFC) in partnership with Urban Educators for Change is hosting the final film screening and showcase for the 2022 BGFC cohort of teen directors on Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 11am - 1pm ET.

The Screening and Awards Showcase is a red carpet style event open to the community of Charlotte in-person and also live-streamed nationally for the greater community to view the final films created by the national 10 finalists selected to participate in the 2022 Black Girls Film Camp. The event will include special virtual guest speaker, Quvenzhané Wallis (From the movie Annie and TV Show, Swagger), and more to be announced soon! Film awards will be presented to young Black girl filmmakers as well with an in-person reception to follow. This event will be hosted at The Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City. It is a free event with reserved tickets to Black girl organizations and limited community tickets available to the public.
For Virtual Attendees
All registrants for virtual tickets will receive a private link via email a week prior to the event and on the day of the event. For any questions, email deneen@blackgirlsfilmcamp.org.
For In-Person Attendees
Security will be on site for this event. COVID Protocols will include: 1) Proof of negative COVID Test or Vaccination Card at Check-In 2) Masks required for attendees and will be provided at Check-In. All individuals attending the in-person event will be doing so at their own risk. Black Girls Film Camp, Urban Educators for Change, and the venue will not be held liable for any person who may contract COVID-19 following the event.
