Love, Compassion, & Comedy is a collection of four original short plays written and produced by Charlotte creative leader Elyse Williams.
Running February 26 through March 1, 2026
In the Charlotte’s Off-Broadway (COB) black box theatre inside the VAPA Center!

The evening features four new works:
Donuts and Milk, directed by Marilyn Carter
Rocking Chairs, directed by Judy Simpson Cook
Diev ParkBank, directed by Susan Cherin
Cats and Dogs, directed by Cale Evans
Each short play explores human connection through memory, humor, tenderness, history, and unexpected relationships. Together, the four pieces create one cohesive evening designed to be intimate, welcoming, and emotionally resonant. Featuring an all-star cast of some of Charlotte’s favorite actors: Jennifer Adams, Sultan El–Amin, P.J. Barnes, Kerra Don, Sharrin Edwards, Kathrine Goforth, Ginger Heath, Lew Herman, Josh Looney, Luna Mackie, Amy Campbell Pratt, RC Theriault, Anneliese Torres, and Shon Williams.
