Learn to play the fundamentals of Latin Jazz.
JazzArts Charlotte extends its successful JazzArts Academy programs with a NEW instrumental offering for youth. Led by notable local Latin jazz musicians and educators, workshop participants will learn to perform the Latin Jazz repertoire, including clave rhythm, and fundamentals including form, reading, composing, arranging and Latin jazz history.
This is a unique opportunity for middle and high school students. Instruments include Woodwinds, Brass, Rhythm Section, and Percussion.
Auditions February 10th and 17th
This workshop is FREE. With space limited, registration and audition is required.
