Brooklyn-based French Jazz vocalist best known for her work with the Avalon Jazz Band, Tatiana Eva-Marie and her quartet honors the legacy of Gypsy legend Django Reinhardt in a special JAZZ ROOM weekend that will take you on a vintage musical journey back to early twentieth-century Paris.
Tatiana Eva-Marie is a bandleader, singer, author, and actress recently included in a list of rising jazz stars by magazine Vanity Fair, who described her as “a millennial shaking up the jazz scene.”
Tatiana Eva-Marie was born in a musical family, in Switzerland, to renowned film composer Louis Crelier and solo violinist Anca Maria. She started her career as a singer at age 4 when she recorded a duo album. Two years later, she featured in her first professional theatre play. She fell in love with the stage and has been performing ever since.
Though her interests have led her to explore a wide range of musical styles, from 1930s pop to modern jazz, Tatiana Eva-Marie’s singing is always inspired by her own French and Gypsy heritage; a love for the Parisian art scene of the 1920s through the 60s; a fascination for New Orleans Jazz; and a deep connection to the Great American Songbook.
The JAZZ ROOM provides a casual and intimate setting with tables and a full bar, reminiscent of the classic jazz rooms of yesteryear.
