The Wendell Scott Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established this event to commemorate Wendell Scott's legacy as the first African American race car driver to win the Grand National, NASCAR's highest level. The Wendell Scott Legacy Gala provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Wendell Scott and those who have made a difference through their time, talents, and resources. During the event, we will recognize community leaders as the Wendell Scott Legacy Gala Award recipients and present the NASCAR Wendell Scott Trailblazer Award.
