The true focus of Community Matters Cafe are the students in the 180-day life and skills rehabilitation program at Charlotte Rescue Mission. With the support of staff members who work to serve the community, students experience the stressors of a restaurant as a way to practice and implement the life skills needed to transition back into daily life. By coming in for a great cup of coffee or enjoying a farm-to-table meal, you are playing an important part in the program. While addiction does not discriminate, a common factor is a detachment from the community. Community Matters Cafe welcomes customers to join them in restoring that hope.
