Continue Traditions

Sparkle & Shine

Twinkling lights and festive displays make the perfect backdrop for a dazzling night out in the Queen City. Find Uptown's giant tree and feel the team spirit from a Panthers-themed display outside Bank of America Stadium, and Light the Knights with a Christmas village at Truist Field. If elegant décor is your thing, have a cocktail and take in the beautifully-decorated homes in historic Fourth Ward during the neighborhood's holiday Sip & Stroll December 1-3.

Support Local

Whether you're shopping for the perfect gift or searching for a place to host your holiday gathering, Uptown Charlotte is home to unique, local shops and some of Charlotte's best restaurants sure to fill your guests with holiday cheer. Stop by The Market at 7th Street for a one-stop shop the whole family can enjoy!

Toast the Season

Uptown is home to some of the city's swankiest spots for holiday parties and gathering. Raise a cocktail or a glass of bubbly to toast the season with friends and family, or plan the perfect getaway at Uptown Charlotte's newest hotels. Looking to celebrate with a little me time at the spa? Yeah, Uptown's got that covered, too.

Kick Off the Holiday Season in Uptown!

The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade

The Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade returns to light up the night on Tryon Street once again this year.

The Parade will step off on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 23 at 5:30pm and will air live on WBTV starting at 6:00pm.

2021’s Thanksgiving Eve Parade was a huge success, with 100,000 people lining Tryon Street to enjoy the night’s festivities. The 2022 Parade will continue this tradition and kick off the holiday season in style.

The Parade will feature local, regional, and national talent and performers as well as your favorite floats, larger-than-life balloons, marching bands, and dance units.

The Parade is free and always will be. Spectators are encouraged to find their favorite viewing spot on Tryon Street between 9th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. However, if you want to experience the Parade as a true VIP, consider reserving your own curb seat, ready for you upon arrival. For just $35, your reserved seat provides an unobstructed view of the entire Parade from the first banner to Santa himself. You can purchase your VIP tickets here https://www.novanthealththanksgivingparade.com/tickets

If you are truly looking for an unforgettable Parade experience, consider becoming a member of the team or a Parade cast member. We are looking for volunteers to walk as costumed cast members in the Parade, handle the larger-than-life balloons, or as Parade marshals. To sign up as a volunteer, or for more information about the Parade, visit our website at www.novanthealththanksgivingparade.com
