Hot Days. Cool Plans. July Events in Uptown!
Long summer days call for getting out and exploring the city, and there is no shortage of things to do in Uptown this July. From outdoor movies and baseball games to live performances, museum visits, and some of the best dining deals of the year, the month is full of reasons to spend time in the heart of Charlotte.
Whether you're planning a family outing, a date night, or a weekend with friends, here are a few events and experiences you won't want to miss.
Movies in the Park
One of Uptown's favorite summer traditions continues this month with a sports-themed lineup for Movies in the Park. Bring a blanket, pick up takeout from a nearby restaurant like Alexander Michael's, and settle in for a free movie under the Carolina stars.

Bark in the Ballpark with the Charlotte Knights
Take yourself out to the ballgame and bring your dog along, too. The Charlotte Knights are hosting Bark in the Ballpark on July 8 and July 22, giving fans and their furry friends the chance to enjoy a night at Truist Field together.
Museums on Us
If you're a Bank of America or Merrill cardholder, don't miss Museums on Us on July 4 and 5. Cardholders receive free general admission to participating museums, including the Mint Museum Uptown, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, Mint Museum Randolph, and the Charlotte Museum of History.
It is one of the easiest ways to spend a summer afternoon exploring Charlotte's arts and culture scene.
Queen's Feast Returns
One of Charlotte's favorite culinary events is back. Queen's Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week runs from July 24 through August 2, with participating restaurants offering prix fixe menus ranging from $30 to $50.
Reservations tend to fill up quickly, so now is the perfect time to plan your next dinner out.
Dinner and a Show
Looking for a night out? July's calendar is full of opportunities to see a show at Blumenthal Arts or experience a film, concert, or special event at the beautifully restored Carolina Theatre. Pair your evening with dinner or drinks at one of Uptown's many restaurants for the perfect summer night.
Explore the NASCAR Hall of Fame
Spend the afternoon discovering one of Charlotte's most iconic attractions. The NASCAR Hall of Fame offers interactive exhibits, racing simulators, legendary cars, and hands-on experiences that make it a fun stop for visitors of all ages.
Cool Off at the Splash Pads
Summer temperatures are no match for Uptown's splash pads. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., they are a favorite destination for families looking to cool off while exploring the city. Located in Fourth Ward Park, The Green, and Romare Bearden Park.
