Ring in 2026 in Uptown!
Fireworks, rooftop parties, live music, and a few ways to call it a night without worrying about a ride home, Uptown is full of options for a fun New Year’s Eve. Whether you’re heading out with friends, celebrating with family, or planning a dinner-and-stay kind of night, here’s what’s happening around the neighborhood as we ring in 2026:
CLT NYE at Truist Field
CLT NYE is Uptown’s signature New Year’s Eve celebration. Festivities begin at 8pm with live music and lead up to a midnight fireworks show inside Truist Field. The event runs alongside Light the Knights, with ice skating, snow tubing, and the vendor market open until 11:30pm. It’s family-friendly, festive, and a good option if you want to be part of a larger citywide celebration.
Easy, Low-Key Ways to Ring in the New Year
If you’re keeping plans casual or want flexibility throughout the night, these options make it easy.
Deluxe Fun Dining is hosting a free New Year’s Eve DJ night from 8pm to midnight. Expect a mix of throwbacks, R&B, hip-hop, and party favorites, along with a full bar and late-night dining. Stop in for dinner or just come for drinks and music.
The Almond Cuvée Affair at MilliUp Event Center is a free New Year’s Eve pre-game from 9pm to midnight. Guests can enjoy complimentary tastings of MilliUp’s Almond Cuvée while supplies last, plus light bites, music, and raffles. The event is also a thank-you to the community and supports the launch of MilliUp’s new nonprofit initiative.
Dahlia’s offers a straightforward Uptown celebration with entry and a Champagne toast at midnight included. Doors open at 4pm and stay open late, making it an easy stop whether you’re starting your night early or ending it there.
If you’d rather bounce around, the Uptown New Year’s Eve Bar Crawl gives you access to multiple bars across the neighborhood with one wristband. Check-in runs from 6 to 9pm at Prohibition, with participating spots including Novelty House, Piscoteca, The Local, and more.
Music-Driven and Themed Parties
These events lean into DJs, live music, and a packed dance floor.
Blume Studios is hosting NYE featuring Su Casa, an immersive party blending global Latin rhythms, live performances, art, and culture. The celebration runs from 8pm to 1:30am and draws a creative, high-energy crowd.
Charlotte Nights at Tattooz & Booz brings Harlem Nights–inspired style to New Year’s Eve, with hip-hop music, vintage flair, signature cocktails, and a Champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 9pm, with complimentary hors d’oeuvres available while supplies last.

Rooftop Parties and Champagne Nights
If skyline views and bubbles are part of the plan, these Uptown rooftops have you covered.

Moxy Charlotte Downtown is hosting its Party, Stay, Repeat New Year’s Eve experience, which includes a DJ-driven party, cocktails, a Champagne toast at midnight, and an overnight stay just upstairs. It’s a high-energy, no-logistics option for a staycation-style celebration.
Kick Off 2026 At Bank of America Stadium
If you’re sticking around Uptown on January 1, the Duke’s Mayo Bowl takes over Bank of America Stadium with Mississippi State Bulldogs vs Wake Forest Demon Deacons. It’s one of Charlotte’s biggest New Year’s Day traditions and an easy way to keep the celebration going in Uptown.
As we say goodbye to another year in Uptown, it’s worth pausing to appreciate how much this neighborhood continues to show up, for celebrations big and small, for new ideas, and for the people who make it feel like home. From packed sidewalks and sold-out shows to quiet moments between friends, 2025 gave us plenty to celebrate. We’re heading into 2026 grateful for the year behind us and excited for what’s ahead. However you choose to ring it in, we’ll see you in Uptown in the new year.
