Charlotte SHOUT! returns to Uptown from March 29th to April 14th

The beloved 17-day festival, Charlotte SHOUT!, is gearing up to be bigger and better than ever! From March 29 to April 14, 2024, Uptown Charlotte will be buzzing with creative energy, thanks to presenting sponsors, Atrium Health and Bank of America.

A Sensory Feast for All Ages

Charlotte SHOUT! is not just an event; it’s an experience for the whole family. Imagine over 200 installations, performances, events, and activations spread across our beautiful city—all outdoors, all mostly free, and all open to everyone! Whether you're into art, music, food, or just looking for some fresh ideas, there's something at SHOUT! for you.

What's New?

This year, we're thrilled to introduce some exciting new additions to Charlotte SHOUT! Our siganture seesaws are back with a twist! E/motion, an interactive installation that brings childhood nostalgia to life, a playful interactive installation that mimics the sensations of surging water. Or immerse yourself in the mesmerizing light patterns of Sonic Runway, a stunning display of audiovisual art. And don’t miss Optik, where you can elevate your experience with synchronized sound and vibrant colors!

Returning Favorites

Of course, we couldn’t forget about the classics! Pianodrome, America’s first amphitheater made entirely from upcycled pianos, Queen's Greens Putt-Putt, Charlotte StrEATs and the Charlotte Ideas festival are all returning again this year. Plus, everyone's favorite Eggs on Parade are back with a baker's dozen of larger-than-life Easter Eggs designed by local artists.

Festivals Within the Festival

Mark your calendars for three special events within Charlotte SHOUT!

Daybreaker, March 30th, will be taking over First Ward Park at 9am with a 1-hour all-levels yoga experience led by Sydney Duarte, followed by a 2-hour dance party, filled with performance artists, aerialists, fire spinners, breakdance artists and fun!  

On April 6-9, don’t miss The Charlotte Ideas Festival, where renowned thinkers will explore the most important topics of our times. And from April 13-14, join us for Charlotte StrEATs, celebrating the best of Charlotte’s culinary scene.
