These self-guided tours give you the backstory on artworks and murals throughout the city and the creators behind them. If you’re more of a history buff or admirer of architecture, try the self-led Fourth Ward Historic District Walking Tour.
• $ - For only $20, get a Levine Center for the Arts Access Ticket for admission to three Uptown museums over two days, including the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American-Arts + Culture, the Mint Museum Uptown and the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art. 
• $$ - Spend the day creating your own culinary tour of The Market at 7th Street. The urban food hall, retail space and community gathering place is calling you to have a taste from each vendor. Or better yet, grab your samplings to-go and make it a picnic at First Ward Park just across the street.
• $$$ - Glide through Uptown with your other half on a Segway Tour with Charlotte NC Tours. It’s the perfect way to learn the history of the area and learn more about Uptown’s top attractions.

Start your romantic night with these pre-dinner activities that will set the mood for the whole evening.

• Free - Take a stroll hand-in-hand through one of Uptown’s beautiful parks. Choose from a novella-themed whimsical park to a 5.4-acre city park with public art and water features. If you rather ride through the parks, rent a Charlotte Joy Rides e-assist bike for only $5 per 30 minutes.
• $ - Grab a pint or a flight at Uptown’s newest brewery: Hippin' Hops. 
• $$ - BYOB (and your humor) for this one-of-a-kind city tour led by comedians. A Charlotte Funny Bus Comedy City Tour is sure to get you ready for an evening of drinks, laughing and unforgettable memories.
• $$$ - Enjoy the Oyster Happy Hour at Sea Level during the week from 2-6 p.m. or head to The Cellar at Duckworth’s for speaky-easy style craft cocktails and small plates before dinner.

• $ - Head to Uptown’s pizzerias like Geno D’s Pizza, Sapienza CLT, Fuel Pizza or The Bella Ciao to eat there or take to-go.
• $$ -  For a delicious dining experience in a beautiful setting, get a table at Luce, Angeline’s, Aria Tuscan Grill, Stoke, Mimosa Grill, Fin and Fino, Bernardin’s or Fahrenheit.
• $$$ - If fine dining is how you roll, then make a reservation at McNinch House Restaurant, La Belle Helene, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood or The Capital Grille. We promise, you won’t regret it. 

After-Dinner Adventure

The night is still young after dinner. You could head to the theater for a cultural performance, an intimate bar for a nightcap or maybe something even a little more adventurous.

• Free - Take a late night stroll through Romare Bearden Park and snap a photo in front of the colorful waterfall and Uptown skyline.
